Saturday and Sunday Paddles

 

The 10km guided paddle starts at Barmouth and finishes at Penmaenpool. This will be a leisurely paddle for paddlers who are confident paddlers. The paddle is tidal assisted, entrants should be able to cope with moderate conditions.

 

This experience is for paddlers with some experience and their own equipment but would welcome the opportunity to travel with a group to see the beautiful Mawddach Estuary. The paddle will be led by experienced paddlers who will provide leadership and safety cover for the event. The leaders will provide local information on the paddle. It is suitable for families, but those  under 18 must be accompanied by a parent.

 

Participants are responsible for their own equipment, they may use canoes or kayaks - touring or general purpose vessels are ideal. The leaders will inspect equipment before starting and may refuse to take anyone not suitably equipped. Paddlers should bring a drink and light refreshment which are accessible when paddling.
